Administrative Technician Job Posting

A regional water wholesaler and retailer located in the Santa Clarita Valley area is seeking an experienced Administrative Technician to join their team! Will perform a variety of technical and paraprofessional duties in support of admin services, personnel, finance, or other division within the company.  

Administrative Technician incumbents are expected to perform duties independently and exhibit a higher lever of knowledge and judgement in assigned program area. Assisting in budget preparation and administrative including preparing and review of purchase requisitions and contacts. Must maintain current knowledge of laws, ordinances, requirements, policies, and procedures relative to assigned areas.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of responsible administrative/program support or coordination experience, preferably in the public sector. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply today:

What you need:

  • Methods of techniques of project and program coordination
  • Basic methods and techniques of data collection, research and analysis
  • Principles of business letter and report writing
  • Pertinent federal, state and local codes, ordinances, laws and regulations
  • Basic principles and techniques of budget preparation and control, and purchasing

License or Certificate:

Possession of a valid California driver’s license may be required at the time of appointment. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a physical disability will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Compensation is $29-$35/Hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30am-5:30pm, (9/80 Schedule)

Project: Temporary basis from March 4, 2019 – August 31, 2019

Location: Valencia, CA

  QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Three or more years in an administrative capacity 
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting principles 
  • Computer software, including word processing, data base, spreadsheet and accounting applications
