Jr. Buyer Processor Job Posting

An aerospace manufacturer out in the Santa Clarita Valley is seeking a Jr. Buyer to join their team! In addition, you will be purchasing order placements and supporting requirements while following established company policies and procedures.

This aerospace company needs someone to assist with the procurement of aerospace materials and effectively managing the planning and acquisition of assigned commodities. Will be responsible for negotiating and managing cost effective procurement contracts and long-term agreements. Must have excellent communication/customer service skills to build and maintain lasting relationships with vendors.

Having prior experience in an aerospace setting and knowledge with planning and purchasing. Being proficient with Microsoft office with be a plus! Also, looking for an individual with strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize projects at any give time.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience
  • 3 years purchasing and planning experience, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple suppliers to deliver positive value to the organization
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and know of (BOM) structure
  • Experience and strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems

Compensation is $18-$20/Hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-5:30pm

 QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience
  • 3 years' purchasing and planning experience, preferably in Aerospace industry
  • Proven negotiations skills and the ability to manage multiple suppliers to deliver positive value to the organization
  • Experience and strong understanding of MRP / ERP systems
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize as necessary
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and ability to interact with internal and external customers including Senior Leadership
  • Highly responsive to internal and external customer requirements, with a high attention to detail
  • Self motivated, persistent, result oriented, well organized with ability to handle multiple projects within expected time frame
  • Aerospace / Defense experience preferred
  • CPIM certifications desirable
